today i assembled cubbies

and color coded my book shelf

and cleaned

ALL THE THINGS.

i may not be a domestic goddess,
but don't cross carpenter off the list just yet}

and while i was 

assembling cubbies and

color coding literary classics and

cleaning all the things, 

i listened to music. 

namely, mr. austin gibbs.

i saw him last summer touring with augustana and the maine,

and he was incredible live. 

these tracks certainly don't do him justice, 

but my favorites off his latest ep are "la la la" and "stop".

he's also available on iTunes, so go listen to him 

asap!

who knows, he may be the soundtrack to

your sun soaked season ;)

domestic goddess

four for four on the domestic goddess front! this week i:

*washed my sheets

*cleaned my room {twice!}

*actually put away my clothes instead of shoving them in drawers

{well. mostly, anyway} and

*baked delicious cookies without burning myself

look at those seasonally appropriate m&m's!

i'm a regular donna reed... it's whatever.

my hot date...

i fell in love last night... with a vacuum cleaner.

his name is orville.

he helped me clean my entire dorm room

{even the tiny space behind my bedside table}

it was marvelous-- my oft neglected room is finally super clean!

i wish he would move in, but, alas, his real home is down the hall.

maybe i'll ask him out again in a few weeks...
