as you may have heard 'round the hood, it was my BEST FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY yesterday. and because we knew that we would be on a college tour extravaganza during her actual day of birth, mama bear and i prepared a little celebratory dinner for miss anna last tuesday night. and unlike last year's cosmic brownie fiasco, i escaped the kitchen unscathed. i even kept my wits enough about me to make a really, really delicious chocolate cake. (i would normally say that betty crocker should be shaking in her apron, but alas, my domestic goddess status is still pending becausethecakewasfromabox.) happy birthday again best friend!!!
