i went over to megan's last night and just like the super cool college girls we are,

we knitted while watching a tlc special on early onset schizophrenia.

old lady mentality for the win.

and i'll let you in on a little secret:

knitting is not as easy as tv grandmas make it out to be.

they just clink, clink, clink their little needles together and voila!

a sharp looking sweater set and matching mittens. 

false. it took me a sad amount of time just to cast on. 

and it looked more like i was practicing facial yoga than serenely 

knitting a sweater for my neighbor's westie.

today, of course, has been exclusively dedicated to 

household chores and polyvore

(cue doe-eyed stare and a slight parting of the lips)

guys. polyvore is a rollicking good time for the starry-eyed, fashion idealizing set.

I'm a city gal living in a country town in Texas who loves clothes, picture-taking, and hanging with my dog who thinks she's an old woman. And blogging, I guess. So here's to my first post as a guest blogger!

If you've ever watched The OC or are currently watching Hart of Dixie, you'll probably understand what I mean when I say Rachel Bilson is just about the cutest thing. Ever. There's something so classic about Rachel Bilson that just has me pining to be like her. Everything from her sweet and quirky personality to her amazing sense of style, she seems to have it all. And to top it all off, she's been dating her super stud Canadian 'Jumper' co-star, Hayden Christensen. So. Not. Fair.

While we may not ever reach super-stardom the way she has, we can definitely find a cheaper and more conventional way of dressing like her. Here, I've put together a few of my favorite RB summer looks, day to night. Polka dot dresses, blue jean shorts, and cropped blazers - Rachel adds charm to our otherwise simple closet staples by utilizing her bags and shoes. And yes, I would pay to live in that woman's shoe closet. Who's with me?
